DPA has been stocking and selling the Australian made Lithium PPE battery, in 24v and 48volts since the start of 2019 and the resounding feedback from installers is that the unique design is reducing battery installation time by 30–50%.
Sales and enquiries for installations in cold regions is strong because charging is not limited at lower temperatures where some managed battery brands begin to limit charging in the 15deg down to 5deg band which can be common in Tasmania and some parts of the mainland in winter.
PowerPlus Energy says “Our ECO battery is infinitely scalable so no application is too big or too small. So when our Premium Series is out of reach, turn with confidence to the PowerPlus Energy ECO Series.”
PowerPlus Energy are targeting their new ECO battery at cost sensitive installations and to supply another option when installers are considering lower spec’d lithium batteries.
The ECO is approximately $200 less/battery than the PPE Life. And because of the lower spec discharge rate of C2 compared to C1 for the Life the available storage is approx 15% more.
The release date will be available shortly and is expected to sell fast to the off-grid installers already supplying the Life premium product into the market.

PowerPlus launch 120V 3.3 Life
PowerPlus have introduced a 120V option in the same rack mounted housing as the Eco and Life.
At a small price premium above the 24 and 48V option, DPA and PPE are predicting the 120V battery will fast become the go to solution for 120V Selectronic inverter installations and provide an excellent solution for larger and higher powered installs.
